“Borrrrring!”
April 28, 2008
After my basketball game last night we were driving to get some dinner. Bella hadn’t had a nap all day so she was completely exhausted. In an attempt to keep Bella awake so she can eat dinner, Genie says, “Hey Bella, look at that house over there.” Bella’s response, “Borrrrring!”. That was classic. Genie and I both looked at each other cracking up and wondering where she got that from. We don’t know for sure, but she said she got it from me.
She has started to pick up on this so quickly, and she is at the point where you really have to watch what you say around her because she will probably use what you said in a sentence of her own. That is a big reason why I hate the commercial they play on Nickelodeon promoting “The Naked Brothers Band.” They have this song called, “I don’t want to go to school” and during the commercial that’s all you hear them sing over and over again. Doesn’t it seem a little ridiculous to play that song for a target audience of kids ages 3-12? Now once in a while when Bella is cranky in the morning she say, “I don’t wanna go to school!”. Thanks, Nickelodeon…..
